Short Description
Eagle Nest Senior Center is a place for adults 60+ to socialize, learn, share meals, have fun, and support each other. It is the goal of Eagle Nest Senior Center to assist seniors in Eagle Nest. The Senior Center is open Monday through Friday from 10:30 am to 3:00 pm. Extended hours of 9:30 am to 3:00 pm are available during the months of July and August. Wi-Fi, exercise equipment and social activities are also available. A nutritious congregate meal is served to an eligible person which meets one-third (1/3) of the dietary reference intake (DRI) at the Senior Center Monday through Friday. Please reserve your meal 24 hours in advance by calling 575-377-1344. Hot, cold and frozen Home Delivered Meals are provided for eligible individuals which meets one-third (1/3) of the DRI to assist the recipient sustain independent living in a safe and healthful environment 5 or more days a week.

Short Description
The First United Methodist Church of Raton runs a food distribution on the 4th Friday of every month. Right now the distribution site changes, so those interested can stop by the church or contact the church to find out where the distribution will be taking place. Children age 18 years and under may receive free meals through the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP). A person 19 years of age and over who has a mental or physical disability (as determined by a State or local educational agency) and who participates during the school year in a public or private non-profit school program (established for the mentally or physically disabled) is also eligible to receive free meals.
In addition to meeting the stated age requirements, all potential participants must be at the meal site (meal service location), and in the serving line to be eligible for free SFSP meals. All meals are served on a first come, first served basis. There is no discrimination during the course of the meal service. NO NEED TO ENROLL; just show up!
