Short Description

Short Description
The Emergency Rental Assistance program is available to New Mexico households who need help paying for rent and utilities. This assistance can be used for past unpaid, current, and future rent and utility bills/payments. This assistance is not a loan and does not need to be repaid. It is assistance given to households so that they can stay in their homes rather than face eviction. Eligible households may receive up to 15 months of assistance paying for rent and utilities. Applications can be submitted by the renter in need of assistance or by a landlord on behalf of the renter.
