Short Description
The Legal Resources for the Elderly Program (LREP) is a free, statewide helpline for New Mexico residents age 55 and older. Each caller speaks with a trained intake staff member, who collects the necessary contact and demographic information. After completing an intake, each caller who is eligible for the Program speaks to one of LREP’s five staff attorneys, each of whom is a highly qualified professional specializing in the legal issues that most affect New Mexico seniors.

The New Mexico Commission for Deaf & Hard of Hearing provides effective leadership, education, advocacy and programs to reduce barriers to the social, economic, educational, cultural and intellectual well-being of Deaf and Hard of Hearing New Mexicans and their families, friends and colleagues. NMCDHH provides programs and services to over 250,000 people in New Mexico who are Deaf, Deaf-Blind, Hard of Hearing and Late-Deafened and their families, friends, agencies and organizations. Programs and services are categorized into three areas: communication access and development, telecommunications and technical assistance, and public policy and advocacy. Office hours: Monday – Friday 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

Short Description
The Transgender Resource Center of New Mexico supports transgender, nonbinary, and gender nonconforming communities through direct services, education, and advocacy. There are no bilingual staff, but they work with several translation providers for individuals who need to access the services and where English is not a language they feel comfortable using. This includes providing translation for support groups; one such group, the Black and Brown TGNBI group, has a facilitator who is bilingual. They are willing to work with anyone who needs services and assistance, and that includes the Spanish speaking transgender community.
