Youth Empowerment Services is a program that offers home visiting for families in Colfax and Union Counties in New Mexico.
Home visiting is a free service offered to pregnant women and families with children from 0-5. The home visitors offer non-judgmental support for your family and help prepare parents to cope with the everyday stressors associated with the transition to parenting, which are inevitable when a new baby enters your family. We work with other community organizations to help parents navigate the systems that are available to reduce those stressors. This leaves more time and energy for the joys of parenting as the family builds a relationship with their child.

Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library is a book gifting program that mails free, high-quality books to children from birth to age five, no matter their family’s income. Sign up online (website available in English and Spanish). The Imagination Library includes some bilingual (English/Spanish) books for children living in the U.S., and are always working to expand that selection.

Healthy Kids Healthy Communities Colfax County is a program of the New Mexico Department of Health. The program works with state and local partners to increase opportunities for healthy eating and physical activity where children and families live, learn, play, and work. HELP New Mexico, Inc. exists to empower positive action through sustainable social services, inspire and motivate through effective community improvement programs, and to educate families and communities through innovative coaching. Programs include help with finding: education, food assistance, job training and job hunting, housing and utility assistance, child care and early childhood education, and basic health and safety assistance. Keep Your Home New Mexico provides free information about home foreclosure, how to avoid it, and what to do once you are facing it. There is an abundance of information and access to resources including a toll-free hotline, housing counsel, legal advice and representation. It is a program of the New Mexico Attorney General's Office. Website offered in Spanish.

La Familia Primary Care is a medical practice consisting of one doctor, one nurse practitioner, and one physician's assistant. The doctor on staff specializes in internal medicine. As of 4/4/22, only the nurse practitioner is accepting new patients. Patients wanting to schedule an appointing need to come into the clinic, fill out a pamphlet, and then an appointment can be scheduled when there is availability.

Lancer Health Group is an e-counseling and Psychiatric care provider in New Mexico. The services target mental health needs across the lifespan.
Patient appointment visits with the providers occur through scheduled online meetings with Zoom. These appointments are confidential and HIPAA compliant. Hours: Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m (MST), evenings and weekends by scheduled appointment.

Las Americas is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in El Paso, Texas providing free and low-cost legal services to immigrants and refugees in West Texas and New Mexico. Las Americas provides legal representation through both attorneys and accredited representatives through the Department of Justice. Other programs include: Crime Victims Program, Detained Deportation Defense, General Immigration Relief, and Remain in Mexico Defense. Check website for details; website offered in Spanish.

Luna Community College Springer Satellite is a branch of the Las Vegas main campus located in downtown Springer. The Springer Satellite offers multiple two-year degree and certificate programs in Higher Education. Some of the degree and certificate programs include: Business Administration, Early Childhood Multicultural Education, Liberal Arts, Teacher Education, Furniture/Cabinet Making, Building Trades (Core), Practical Nursing (Prerequisites Only), Automotive Technology and Welding (courses only), GED and many more. They offer a broad range of Distance Learning (WebCT and ITV) courses and Community Education courses. They also offer courses in Raton and Cimarron. The campus presently serve all of Colfax County and part of Mora County. The Springer Satellite offers Dual-Credit to the Following public schools: Springer, Maxwell, Cimarron, and Raton. This program is designed to provide eligible high school students the opportunity to pursue college level course credits while still in high school. Students are able to transfer credits between institutions of higher education.

MaleSurvivor is a 501(c)(3), non-profit, public benefit organization committed to preventing, healing, and eliminating all forms of sexual victimization of boys and men through support, treatment, research, education, advocacy, and activism.
