The Grief Resource Center offers virtual support groups via zoom for those experiencing a loss of a loved one from September through May. Complete schedule can be found on the website, with details about how to register. Specific groups for specific situations and groups of people.

Helping Survivors is an advocacy center whose mission is to assist anyone who has been victimized by sexual assault or abuse. The website is a compilation of information around different instances of sexual violence. They offer resources to assist survivors and their families. A contact line is currently in the works.

The mission of the Income Support Division is to relieve, minimize or eliminate poverty and to make available certain services for eligible low-income individuals and families through statewide programs of financial assistance, food assistance, employment assistance and training services. These may include Medicaid, SNAP, school assistance, food services, paying for gas and electric, water assistance, etc.

Support Groups are an opportunity to share your experiences openly and freely in a safe setting. NAMI Santa Fe, in response to the COVID-19 virus, is offering the NAMI Family Support Group meetings on-line using the ZOOM tele-conferencing program as well as in person. NAMI Santa Fe’s Family Support Group is a free, drop-in, peer-led support group for family members, caregivers, and loved ones of individuals living with mental illness. The ZOOM Meetings take place:

4th Monday of the Month: 6 PM

A project of the National Domestic Violence Hotline, Love is Respect offers 24/7 information, support, and advocacy to young people between the ages of 13 and 26 who have questions or concerns about their romantic relationships. They also provide support to concerned friends and family members, teachers, counselors, and other service providers through the same free and confidential services via phone, text, and live chat.

Adult Protective Services is committed to protecting the safety of adults who are not able to protect themselves and to promoting the personal choice and self-determination of all they serve. The Commission for the Blind provides vocational rehabilitation and independent living services designed to enable people who are blind to become more participating and contributing members of society. The Vocational Rehabilitation program helps blind people become employed. The Independent Living/Older Blind program helps blind people live independently in their homes and communities. The Commission’s “Newsline for the Blind” program provides access to over thirty publications through a touchtone phone. The Commission also sponsors “NFB-Newsline,” which provides access to over 200 national newspapers, including several in Spanish.
